BBQ Trout with Lemon Garlic Butter
>> May 18, 2010
An easy, delicious, healthy and speedy summer recipe. We served it with grilled asparagus, zucchini and yellow bell peppers.
Ingredients:
10 oz trout filet
3 Tbsp Butter
1 clove Garlic, minced
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
1 tsp fresh Lemon zest
Salt, pepper, to taste.
Preparation:
Saute butter and garlic in pan. Add lemon and lemon zest and remove from heat.
Sprinkle salt and pepper over trout. Brush grill with olive oil so fish won't stick. Place trout on BBQ over medium heat. Brush fish with garlic lemon butter and cook about 2 min. Flip fish over, brush with rest of butter and cook another 2-3 min. Remove from grill and serve.

Very nice, simple meal that promises to be delicious. I like to avoid cow dairy so I'd substitute olive oil and only low heat saute the garlic/onion mix. Just perfect. Thanks for the idea, I tend to pass over trout in the store but you've inspired me.

Great idea! I used olive oil to drizzle over the veggies - they turned out delish as well!

This fish turned out great. Simple but with a flair of elegance. I fed this to my husband, his brother and a male neighbor. All of them were very impressed
